Kansas Cowboy Dressage

KCDA is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improve performance of the western horse and rider for all the disciplines and inspire riders to achieve “soft feel” consistent with the vision of Debbie Beth-Halachmy and Eitan Beth-Halachmy, creators of the Cowboy Dressage. KCDA offers education events playdays and gatherings to benefit members in achieving harmony and partnership with their horses and strengthen friendships among like-minded horsepeople. Cowboy Dressage™ is more than classical dressage with a western saddle: It is a combination of the best traditional western and classical horsemanship that challenges horse and rider in a measured and consistent way; and improves the western horse’s ability to do its job. “By blending both disciplines and taking the best from both, the rider becomes more educated, patient and understanding, allowing for the partnership between horse and rider to bloom ... that partnership being the goal of all good horsemen and horsewomen.” -Eitan Beth-Halachmy

We took a long hard look at the philosophy of Cowboy Dressage and what made it special: its inclusiveness, its celebration of the "try," and its emphasis on partnership, which sometimes means choosing the right thing for your horse over what might give you the competitive edge.  >>Read More
